LumiCam 2400 / 1300 Series
Imaging photometers and colorimeters
From the LumiCam 1300 to the LumiCam 2400 – highest precision, optimized for automotive display tests
LumiCam imaging colorimeters from Instrument Systems measure the luminance and color distribution of display screens or multifunction displays to a high degree of precision within seconds.
The proven LumiCam 1300 series has been further developed as the LumiCam 2400 series and specially optimized for new automotive requirements. LumiCam 2400 models are thus ideally suited to diverse automotive test applications, e.g.
- Measurement of luminance and color distribution in displays and control displays
- Evaluation of homogeneity of displays in the vehicle interior
The LumiCam 2400 generates images with a resolution of 5 megapixels, enabling the spatially resolved evaluation of luminance and color coordinates. The luminance and imaging colorimeter is available in three different basic versions:
- As a compact imaging photometer, the LumiCam 2400 Mono generates reliable and precise luminance measurements.
- The LumiCam 2400 Color also has four filters for the measurement of color values and is suitable in particular for broadband light sources.
- In order to obtain optimum measurement results for LED-based test objects, the LumiCam 2400 Advanced model has a total of six color filters and a patented algorithm for matrix optimization.
The high image resolution of 5 megapixels in all 2400 models permits easy capture and analysis of high resolution images. Lenses with a focal length of 28 mm, 50 mm and 100 mm are available for each camera.
The LumiCam 1300 series of measuring systems that are available as a mono, color or advanced model analogous to the 2400 series, employ a high-end CCD sensor with 1370 x 1020 pixels.
High-performance LumiCam software
All LumiCam models feature high-performance software. This calculates all relevant variables, e.g. luminance Lv, color coordinates x and y, color temperature, color homogeneity or dominant wavelength. Various analytical tools, e.g. spotmeter, polygon line and 3D box, permit comprehensive analysis of the measured values. LumiCam software also offers the option of false color presentation for impressive visualization of the acquired data.
LumiCam series – imaging colorimeter for advanced 2D photometry
Photometric properties such as luminance and color distribution can be precisely determined in a matter of seconds with the LumiCam 2D imaging colorimeter. The diverse Lumicam models fulfil complex measurement requirements in the automotive, aviation, general lighting or display industries. The LumiCam has become a leading light measurement system that is used across multiple industries for the quality assurance of dashboards, display panels and cockpits.
The unique combination of state-of-the-art hardware and extensive software makes the LumiCam a flexible measurement solution that can be specially tailored to the user’s individual evaluation needs.
